Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer VILLA PONCIAGO
Medium-deep purple red colour. Fairly intense, gently spicy, bright, plum, wild strawberry nose with some cherry notes. Dry, medium-light bodied, tangy, plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, crisp, strawberry-tinged finish. A fine, fairly fruity, ready-to-drink Gamay that is showing well at the moment. Versatile - a perfect Holiday sipper, especially with poultry and/or salmon. Excellent value - it sells for $19.00 at the SAQ and is now found in over 200 LCBO outlets. Has 12% alcohol.
