TASTING NOTE: Nose: Mature. Malty with dark chocolate-covered strawberries, some prune. With water becomes musky with hints of cedar and a gentle relaxed sweetness held in check by quite firm oak. Palate: Softer than the nose suggests and significantly sweeter. Layers of fruits, cocoa, syrup, demerara sugar, coffee. Finish: Cigar-like then softens and sweetens. Comment: Great balance. An exemplary finish. Score – 8 1/4 (out of 10). (Dave Broom, www.whiskymag.com, Feb. 2007) Price $ 153.95
