Fine Dry, Aged for Five Years in Oak Cask. TASTING NOTE: The very first thing that strikes you is the viscous amber-coloured liquid that pours from the bottle. The aromas are redolent of almonds, raisins and dates and the flavours are a dazzling array of orange rind, nuttiness and bone dry zest. The grape, Sercial, and in this instance a style of Madeira (dry) is known as Esgana Cão (dog strangler) in Portugal due to its racy acidity. A wonderful aperitif, serve chilled with roasted almonds.
