As of April 2014, it is now a Vintages Essential. Rod Phillips awarded this wine 4 Stars (out of 5) on his website, rodphillipsonwine.com (June 18, 2013). TASTING NOTE: Pinotage is noted for its coffee aromas and flavours, and The Grinder certainly delivers as promised. Aromas and flavours of cracked black peppercorns and roasted coffee with black plum, wild strawberry and a spicy bittersweet chocolate in support. Pair this espresso sorry expressive wine with grilled meats or smoked pork. (Vintages panel, June 2013) |
