Extremely deep intense purple colour. Slightly spicy, cedar-tinged, ripe plum, baked cherry nose with some sandalwood-cedar notes. Dry, extracty, slightly spicy, plummy, baked cherry flavours with a lingering, slightly cedary, mocha-chocolate finish. This recent bottling (lot 195/14 with 14% alcohol and 8 g/L residual sugar) is not up to the recommended best buy 2010 (**+) released on October 26, 2013 at $17.00. Moreover, it could not be the batch reviewed by Michael Schachner of the Wine Enthusiast on January 10, 2014 who awarded it 89-points according to the Vintages Catalogue. CSPC 54098
