SERIE A TORRONTÉS 2013 Salta
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer ZUCCARDI
Bright pale straw colour. Very spicy, honeyed, floral lychee notes. Dry, light bodied, very spicy, faintly honeyed, intense, lychee flavours with a crisp unoaked finish. Quite ready-to-drink. Try with hot Thai cuisine. Screwcap closure. I have some issues with the somewhat inflated price as better Torrontes are often released for under $14! CSPC 389262

TASTING NOTE: The 2013 Zuccardi Serie A Torrontes was harvested early to keep the acidity, and the maceration was limited in order to not extract too much. This is unoaked, and the malolactic is blocked to keep the flowers (jasmine, orange blossom) and citric notes with some lychee aromas. The palate is fresh with clean, pungent flavors and good length. This should evolve in bottle. Drink now-2017. Score - 90 (Luis Gutierrez, erobertparker.com, April 2014) Price $ 15.95
Bottle Size 750 mL
Tasting Date vintages release - January 10, 2015
Cases bought 349 (12 bottles per case)
