Estela Armando's family emigrated from the Piedmont region of Northern Italy in 1886, and started making wines shortly after. The vineyard from which this Bonarda was sourced was planted in 1963. Interestingly, there is some debate as to whether the Bonarda now grown in Argentina is the same as that once widely grown in the family's native Piedmont. One thing remains clear - the hospitable rich fruit, earth and spice notes in this wine will feel right at home with charred meats or a hearty beef and vegetable stew. Price $ 14.95
