HENRI DE VILLAMONT PRESTIGE BOURGOGNE CHARDONNAY 2007 AC
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer HENRI DE VILLAMONT
Bright very light yellow colour. Mature, slightly spicy, intense, baked ripe lemon-apple nose. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, solid, mature, baked ripe lemon-apple flavours with a lingering, somewhat cedary, mature, nutty finish. A surprisingly fit, very well-priced, traditional Burgundy. For fans of old Chardonnay, this should work very well with smoked salmon. CSPC 416123

TASTING NOTE: Eight years old and still offering well-articulated lime, lemon, apple and mineral on the nose. Supple with great balance and harmony between the fruit and the acidity, and good replays with a touch of oak flavouring adding complexity in the mouth. Pair with scallops.
