ROSSOLE 2012 IGT Rosso Toscana |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |

BORGO SALCETINO |
Fairly deep purple red colour. Slightly spicy, warm plum nose with some sandalwood notes. Dry, medium bodied, harmonious, slightly spicy, ripe plum puree flavours with a lingering, gentle, cedar-sandalwood finish. This 13% alcohol blend of 70% Sangiovese and 30% Merlot is showing nicely and ready-to-drink. Scored 3 Glasses (out of 3) in Gambero Rosso Italian Wines, 2015. |

TASTING NOTE: The Rossole '12, mainly sangiovese with a smaller percentage of merlot, is all about freshness: on the nose the fruity aromas are very slightly unripe while the palate shows a lovely hint of acidity supporting the tangy flavour.
