Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer BORGO SALCETINO
Fairly deep purple red colour. Slightly spicy, warm plum nose with some sandalwood notes. Dry, medium bodied, harmonious, slightly spicy, ripe plum puree flavours with a lingering, gentle, cedar-sandalwood finish. This 13% alcohol blend of 70% Sangiovese and 30% Merlot is showing nicely and ready-to-drink. Scored 3 Glasses (out of 3) in Gambero Rosso Italian Wines, 2015. CSPC 412619

TASTING NOTE: The Rossole '12, mainly sangiovese with a smaller percentage of merlot, is all about freshness: on the nose the fruity aromas are very slightly unripe while the palate shows a lovely hint of acidity supporting the tangy flavour.
