Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
KAIKEN |
Extremely deep intense purple colour. Fairly intense, spicy, baked plum-blueberry nose with some cedar notes. Fairly dry, medium bodied, spicy, ripe blueberry-plum jam flavours with a lingering, crisp, cedary finish. You can safely ignore James Suckling’s out-of-date enthusiastic 94-point tasting note appearing in the Vintages Catalogue dated July 30, 2014. This was recently bottled on February 4, 2015 (L15078 on on the back label). Not quite up to the 2012 (**) released on March 7, 2015 at $19.95 (lot L14297). |
