BARREL SELECTION SHIRAZ 2012 Mendoza
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer CRISTOBAL 1492
Extremely deep intense purple colour. Slightly spicy, sweetish, hot plum-cherry nose with some cedary notes. Dry, medium bodied, juicy, bright, quite well structured, hot cherry-plum flavours with a cedary, ready-to-drink finish. Has 14% alcohol and 8 g/L residual sugar with lot number 15051 on the back label. This commercial, crowd-pleaser is better than the 2010 (*/*+) released on May 25, 2013 at $14.95. Decent but not a detour. CSPC 236133

TASTING NOTE: Intense and concentrated on the nose with prominent black and blue fruits. Rich and powerfully made with outstanding dark fruit and a well-defined mineral note. This finishes as strong as it starts. Quite a wine for the price. Perfect for burgers, lamb kebabs and basically anything off the barbecue. (VINTAGES panel, Oct. 2014) Price $ 15.95
