Very deep intense purple colour. Slightly spicy, bright, ripe plum-cherry puree nose. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, slightly spicy, tangy, ripe plum flavours with a crisp, cedar-tinged finish. Has 14.5% alcohol and 6 g/L residual sugar. Slightly better than the 2010 (**) released on May 10, 2014 at $19.95. |

TASTING NOTE: The 2012 Malbec Terroir is produced from fruit sourced from different calcareous vineyards within the Uco Valley, I see a jump in freshness, despite the warmer vintage. The fruit is redder, with notes of cherries and hints of curry and other spices, very fluid and fresh. Great value and great Malbec. Drink now-2017. Score - 91 (Luis Gutierrez, erobertparker.com, April 2014) |
