PREMIUM BONARDA 2012 Mendoza
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer ALTA VISTA
Extremely deep intense purple colour. Slightly spicy, intense, ripe plum nose with some slight cedary notes. Very dry, medium-full bodied, well structured, solid, slightly baked, ripe plum flavours with a lingering, gently cedary, very faintly herbal finish. Has 15% alcohol and can still evolve. CSPC 415232

TASTING NOTE: Argentina's second-most-planted red grape (after Malbec), Bonarda continues to gain international interest. This 2012 is big and juicy with impressive spice, plum, red fruit and tobacco notes. Quite charming, with subtle tannins and a crisp acidity. Very well made. Enjoy with grilled steak and grilled vegetables. (VINTAGES panel, Oct. 2014) Price $ 18.95
