Now at its peak drinking time, this wine will have evolved from fresh fruit to more dried fruit characteristics. TASTING NOTE: An outstanding wine, the 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon Gran Reserva was sourced from the Altamira vineyard in Valle del Uco and aged for 12 months in French and American oak. Opaque purple-colored, it reveals some toasty oak, spice box, pencil lead, and black currants. On the palate there are layers of ripe, sweet fruit with incipient complexity. There is a fine integration of oak, tannin, and acidity, and a long, lightly tannic finish. This full flavored wine will evolve 1-2 years and provide pleasure through 2020. This Gran Reserva is an outstanding value. Score - 90 (Jay Miller, erobertparker.com, Dec. 2007) Price $ 21.95
