Bright very light straw colour. Slightly spicy, honeyed, lemon-apple nose with some faint cedar notes. Dry, medium-light bodied, tangy, lemon-apple flavours with a lingering, crisp, very faintly cedary, somewhat tart, slightly spicy, mineral-tinged finish. Ready-to-drink. TASTING NOTE: The oak has been dialed back thankfully for the 2014 vintage with the fruit aromas of lemon, melon and apple nicely intermingling with some mild oak and vanilla. Its midweight and very smooth on the palate with excellent length. Good focus from nose through palate to finish. Try with fish and chips. Score - 88 (Steve Thurlow, winealign.com, March 27, 2015) |
