CICCHITTI |
Very deep intense purple colour. Spicy, slightly jammy, plum-cherry puree nose with some cedar notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, spicy, baked black cherry puree flavours with a lingering, cedary, mocha-chocolate finish. You can safely ignore the December 2011 90-point tasting note appearing in the Vintages Catalogue. |

TASTING NOTE: The 2008 Merlot was aged for 6 months in French and American oak. Herbal notes, cinnamon, vanilla, and clove are intermingled with cassis and black cherry fruit, composing an alluring bouquet. Balanced, layered, and long on the palate, this is a first-class Merlot that will deliver pleasure over the next 6-8 years. Drink: 2011- 2019. Score - 90 (Jay Miller, erobertparker.com, Dec. 2011) |
