Tony Aspler: 88 - Best Buy - Dense purple colour; Cedary, black currant nose with spicy oak notes; Richly extracted cassis flavours with a touch of bitterness on the slightly herbaceous finish. Michael Vaughan: 87.5 - Best Buy - Very deep intense purple colour. Fairly intense, slightly cedary, warm red cherry nose. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, fairly tangy, somewhat spicy, crancherry flavours with a slightly tropical, fairly herbal, somewhat cedary finish. Has 14% alcohol and 5 g/L residual sugar with lot number on this repeat is L1315265. CSPC 60244

Spicy notes come up with air, accompanied by a juicy symphony of fruit that doesn't let up - the signature of the terrific 2011 vintage.
