Extremely deep intense purple colour. Intense, youthful, slightly cedary, plummy, ripe red cherry nose. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, fairly intense, well structured, ripe plum-cherry-cassis flavours with a lingering, slightly cedary finish. Has 14.6% alcohol and 6 g/L residual sugar with lot number L151011 on the back label meaning that it was bottled after James Sucklings far-fetched 93-point score appearing in the Vintages Catalogue. TONY ASPLER: 88.5 - BUY - Dense purple colour; oily, blackberry nose with a dusty note; medium to full-bodied, spicy and juicy black currant flavour with a firm finish. The recommended best buy 2011 (**+) was released on January 24, 2015 at $21.95. |
