Very deep intense purple colour. Slightly spicy, baked cherry nose with lots of sandalwood-vanilla notes. Dry, medium bodied, harmonious, baked cherry-blueberry-plum flavours with a lingering, slightly cedary finish. The 2012 (*+/**) was released on May 24, 2014 at $15.95. TONY ASPLER: 87 - Dense purple colour; spicy nose of cherry pie with an earthy note; medium to full-bodied, dry, dried plum and dried flowers on the palate with a somewhat blunt finish. Has 14.5% alcohol and 7 g/L residual sugar with lot number CVL30115 on the back label meaning that this batch has bottled after James Suckling’s 93-point score quoted in the Vintages Catalogue.
