CUVELIER LOS ANDES |
Deep intense purple colour. Spicy, very cedary, mocha-chocolate nose with lots of stewed fruit. Somewhat sweetish, medium to medium-full bodied, spicy, mature, stewed plum-cherry flavours with a somewhat volatile, salty-sappy-cedary finish. This blend of 58% Malbec,18% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Petit Verdot, 8% Syrah and 4% Merlot and Petit Verdot has lot number L-2011-1 on the back label. Tasted once. TASTING NOTE: Bright, saturated medium ruby. Pure aromas of blackberry, licorice and dark chocolate are complemented by nutty oak and lifted by a violet top note. Dense, concentrated and sappy; as primary as a barrel sample. In fact, this is extremely backward and youthfully imploded ... Finishes with sneaky rising length and a serious tannic spine to support a slow evolution in bottle. Forget about this juicy, vibrant wine for at least a few years.
