Extremely deep intense purple colour. Spicy, intense, very ripe plum-cherry nose with some cedary notes. Fairly dry, medium to medium-full bodied, quite well structured, harmonious, slightly spicy, baked plum flavours with a lingering, somewhat cedary finish. Has 15% alcohol and 6 g/L residual sugar with lot number L33515 on the back label. Worth trying and better than the 2011 (*+/**) was released on February 7, 2015 at $22.95. |

TASTING NOTE: Lots of dark berry, bitter chocolate, mineral and almost slate character on the nose. It's full-bodied yet extremely refined with silky tannins and a polished texture. Lots of walnut character too. Drink or hold. Score - 93 (James Suckling, jamessuckling.com, Oct. 15, 2014) |
