TASTING NOTE: Deep, dense and luscious, maturing fragrant honey aromas. Quite sweet but a salty nip to freshen. Good complexity with moist raisins, sweet spice and hints of violets and vanilla. The palate opens with mature, nutty, dusty Oloroso, followed by moist raisinated fruit, walnuts, dark honey and elegant, delicate salty notes, which balances the sweetness well. Long and succulent finish with a touch of vanilla and coffeed spice coming through. A stunning, mature, sherried Islay. World Whiskies Awards Rating: Best Islay Single Malt 21 Years and Over.
