RESERVE MALBEC 2012 Tupungato Valley, Uco Valley, Mendoza
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer DOMAINE BOUSQUET
Extremely deep purple colour. Slightly spicy, ripe plum-cherry puree nose with some cedary notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, quite well structured, slightly spicy, baked plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, fairly high acid, somewhat cedary finish. This repeat was a recommended best buy 2012 (**/**+) released on August 16, 2014 at only $15.95. Note that given the dramatic deeper intense purple colour, I believe that this recently-bottled batch has been refreshed with a more recent vintage! TONY ASPLER / 88.5-points / BEST BUY - Vanilla oak, spicy plum nose with a floral note; medium-bodied, dry, floral, plum flavour with lively acidity. Has 14.5% alcohol and 8 g/L residual sugar with lot number L15217-16063 on the back label. You can safely ignore the outdated score/tasting note appearing in the Vintages Catalogue which was based on a different blend over three years ago. CSPC 55244
