A Best Buy
TASTING NOTE: The 2013 Reserva malbec is a clear step up from the estate malbec and well worth the extra seven or so dollars. As with most Pascual Toso wines there is a heavy preponderance of America oak, in this case 80% of the casks used for maturation. This gives it a sweetish feel to nose and palate but it is quite dry and finely balanced with excellent length. Expect aromas of floral black cherry with blueberry and mild warm fragrant oak spice. It is full bodied with good focus. Best 2015 to 2022. Score - 90 (Steve Thurlow, winealign.com, March 27, 2015) Price $ 19.95
