Bright medium straw colour. Fairly attractive, intense, slightly spicy, fairly nutty, ripe lemon-buttered toast nose. Dry, medium-full bodied, well structured, ripe apple-lemon-hazelnut flavours with a lingering, crisp, gently toasty finish and very good effervescence. Has 12.5% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number LAJL1 on the back label. The recommended 2006 (91-points) was released on November 28, 2015 at $87.95. CSPC 69773

This Champagne house was founded by Claude Moe´t way back in 1743 - that's the birth year of Thomas Jefferson, and predates the French Revolution by nearly half a century! 2008 in Champagne was a classic vintage, yielding elegant sparkling wines. This one, a blend of 40% Chardonnay, 37% Pinot Noir and 23% Pinot Meunier, is lively and toasty with superb complexity and depth of flavour. Price $ 89.95
