Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer MENDEL
Extremely deep intense purple colour. Somewhat spicy, baked plum, dried cherry nose with some sandalwood notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, extracty, dried plum and baked cherry flavours with a lingering, slightly cedary, high acid, somewhat peppery finish. Best with bbq steak. The 2011 (**/**+) was released on April 4, 2015 at $27.95. TONY ASPLER / 88.5-points / BUY - Cedary, blackberry with vanilla oak notes; full-bodied, dry, richly extracted flavours of black fruits and dark chocolate. Supple tannins on the finish.
