Bright light yellow colour. Intense, very cedary, complex, lemon meringue nose with some baked apple notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, well structured, slightly spicy, intense, fairly complex, toasty, ripe lemon-apple meringue flavours with a lingering, very cedary, faintly smoky finish. Ready-to-drink. TONY ASPLER / 87-points - Woody, undergrowth nose, peach and woodspice; full-bodied, dry, full in the mouth with peach and pineapple flavours and evident oak - in fact, overoaked. Has 13.5% alcohol and L1606D17013 on the back label. |

TASTING NOTE: ( ... El Enemigo is a joint venture between the immensely talented Alejandro Vigil, the winemaker at Catena Zapata, and wine historian Adrianna Catena, the youngest daughter of Nicolas Catena.) Straw-yellow. Ripe, oily nose conveys a sappy, salty richness and sweet oak tones. Displays a subtle tropical fruit ripeness along with some leesy complexity on the palate, then finishes surprisingly firm and minerally, with a note of nut skin. In a distinctly savory style ...
