CUVÉE D'ANDRÉE ROSÉ 2015 VQA Niagara-on-the-Lake
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer CHÂTEAU DES CHARMES
Not presented at the press and/or consultants preview in the LCBO lab. Here is my previous tasting note: Bright reddish violet rose colour. Slightly spicy, honeyed, ripe plum and dried strawberry nose. Fairly dry, medium-light bodied, slightly spicy, plummy, ripe red apple, dried strawberry flavours with a fairly crisp, unoaked finish. This very pleasant, crowd-pleasing 100% Pinot Noir rose has 12.6% alcohol and a touch of sweetness with 9 g/L residual sugar. Screwcap closure. It’s the 2016 Ontario Wine Awards Rose Gold Medal winner. A repeat of the 2015 that last appeared in Vintages (**/**+) on June 11, 2016 at $15.95 and was Recommended. CSPC 333260

A Best Buy
TASTING NOTE: Made from 100-per-cent pinot noir, this pink gem is dry and medium-bodied, with seductively silky fleshy texture carrying vibrant flavours redolent of strawberry, raspberry and cherry. Substantial enough to stand up to robust foods, including grilled salmon or pork. Score - 90 (Beppi Crosariol, The Globe and Mail, June 28, 2016) Price $ 15.95
Bottle Size 750 mL
