TASTING NOTE: The Rustenberg Stellenbosch Petit Verdot Rosé is not only from an unexpected region but also a grape not usually associated with the pink stuff (petit verdot normally is a blending grape, especially in Bordeaux). This fresh beauty has some sharp edges on the nose but lovely cherry-berry fruit on the palate, culminating with a crisp and lively but hearty finish. Salty appetizers, pizza and mildly spicy Tex-Mex or Asian dishes provide swell accompaniment. (Bill Ward, startribune.com, Dec. 4, 2016) Price $ 13.95
