ROSÉ DE LEOUBE 2016 AC Provence
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer Chateau LEOUBE
Bright light salmon pink rose colour. Shy, slightly spicy, faintly honeyed, ripened apple nose with some faint mineral notes. Dry, medium-light bodied, very slightly spicy, ripe melon-apple-plum flavours with a lingering crisp unoaked finish that has good acidity. Quite elegant and ready-to-drink. This is the least expensive of Chateau Leobe’s three roses. A blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah and Mourvèdre, it has 13% alcohol and only 2 g/L residual sugar. CSPC 491100

LCBO Note Status A Vintage Assessments Explorer's Selection!
TASTING NOTE: This pretty-in-pink wine is a blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah and Mourvèdre. It opens with lovely notions of ripe cantaloupe, nectarine, clementine and lavender, and the palate is a promenade of sunny fruit, star bright acidity and elegantly smooth texture transitioning to savoury wild herbs and tangy citrus-peel notes on the finish. Pair with scallops or fish in a light garlic-and-herb butter sauce. (VINTAGES panel, May 2017) Price $ 25.95
