|SOFIA ROSÉ 2016 Monterey County
|Vintage Assessments Tasting Note
|Bright day-glo light reddish colour. Spicy, plum-apple nose with some bright mineral notes. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied, slightly spicy, ripe plum-apple flavours with a fairly crisp, lively, very faintly sweet, unoaked finish. Very pleasant and ready-to-drink. This blend of Syrah, Grenache and Pinot Noir comes in a lovely bottle and has 12.8% alcohol on the label (but 13.2% according to the winery website) and 3 g/L residual sugar. The 2015 appeared in Vintages (**/**+) with 88.5-points on June 25, 2016 at $24.95 and was an Explorer Selection.
