Consultant winemaker Jean-Claude Berrout was the winemaker at Petrus for 44 years. His influence has been key in the evolution of more elegant and refined expressions of Malbec. TASTING NOTE: A solid wine with blackberry and black pepper character. Full body, chewy tannins and a fresh and cool finish. So polished and beautiful. From grapes grown in Valle de Uco. Pomerol's legend Jean-Claude Berrouet consults here. Better in 2018. Score - 95 (James Suckling, jamessuckling.com, May 20, 2016) |
