SOPHENIA |
Extremely deep intense purple colour. Spicy, dusty, cooked plum nose with some leesy, cedary notes. Fairly dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, spicy, baked plum-apple-cherry flavours with a lingering, somewhat peppery, cedary, fairly high acid finish. Needs time. Tasted once. Has 14% alcohol and 5 g/L residual sugar with lot number 7333 on the back label. TONY ASPLER / 87.5-points - Cedary, herbal, blackcurrant nose; medium-bodied, dry, fresh and lively blackcurrant flavour but a touch short on finish. |

TASTING NOTE: It's still a very young wine, but this deeply coloured Cabernet Sauvignon is wonderfully fresh and aromatic, with grassy, blackcurrant leaf flavours, vivid acidity and notes of graphite and green herbs. Refreshing but not austere. Drink Date: 2019-2023. Score - 91 (Tim Atkin, MW, timatkin.com, Argentina Special Report 2017) |
