ENTOURAGE GRAND RESERVE SPARKLING SAUVIGNON BLANC 2015 Traditional method, VQA Niagara Peninsula, Ontario
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer JACKSON-TRIGGS
Not presented at the press and/or consultants preview in the LCBO lab. Received a sample from the agent Arterra - here is my note: Bright medium straw colour. Fairly spicy, slightly honeyed, melon-apple-lemon nose with some faint grassy-herbal notes. Fairly dry, medium-to-medium-light bodied, spicy, honeyed, apple-melon-lemon purée flavours with a zesty, effervescent finish. Seems to finish faintly sweetish. Has 12.5% alcohol and 11 g/L residual sugar. The 2009 (not presented) was released on August 17, 2013 at $29.95. CSPC 353078

TASTING NOTE: This captivating bubbly Savvy spent a full year ageing \"en tirage\" (on the lees) to extract body, flavour and aromatics without overpowering the delicate aromas of the variety. The result is a beautifully herbaceous wine with a gorgeous texture, creamy mousse and hints of fresh vanilla, green apple, gooseberry and snap peas. A fantastic choice for grilled or breaded fish with an herb salad. (Vintages panel, Oct. 2017) Price $ 29.95
Bottle Size 750 mL
Tasting Date vintages release - August 4, 2018
