LCBO Note Status A Vintage Assessments Explorer's Selection!
Some say Limoux is the area where sparkling wine originated when, in 1531, the monks of Saint Hilaire made the first wine with bubbles. Thomas Jefferson was reportedly Limoux's greatest admirer, and its fizzes were fixtures in his personal wine cellar. This wine offers exceptional value for bubbly made in the traditional method. Look for crisp orchard fruit and notions of honey on toast, and sip with battered fish and parsnip chips. Price $ 19.95
