ALTA VISTA |
Deep purple red colour. Slightly spicy, faintly floral, ripe plum nose with some slight hints of cedar. Dry, medium bodied, quite well structured, very slightly spicy, fairly ripe, plum-cherry purée flavours with a lingering, fairly high-acidity, tangy, very gently cedary finish. Quite ready-to-drink. Has 14% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number CV-L1966 on the back label. |

TASTING NOTE: Dried red plums, redcurrants, vanilla and lots of nutmeg. Full body, ripe, bold tannins, some juicy acidity and a fruit-forward finish. Not the most subtle wine, but this remains very drinkable. Score - 91 (James Suckling, jamessuckling.com, April 5, 2018) |
