Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |

VIŅA COBOS |
Very deep intense purple colour. Slightly spicy, mocha-chocolate-tinged, intense, cherry-plum-cassis nose with lots of cedary notes. Fairly dry, medium to medium-full bodied, well structured, slightly spicy, ripe cherry-plum puree flavours with a lingering, high acid, mocha-chocolate-cedar finish. Has 13.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. Perhaps not quite up to the riper (14.5% alcohol) recommended 2014 (**/**+) that was released on October 28, 2017 at $19.95. TONY ASPLER / 88.5-points / BUY - Cedary, black currant nose; medium to full-bodied, dry, black currant flavour; fruity and firmly structured with lively acidity. |
