Very bright light straw colour. Slightly spicy, gently grassy, lemon-apple nose with some resiny, mineral notes. Very dry, medium-light bodied, very spicy, somewhat resiny, baked lemon-apple flavours with a lingering, very high acid finish. This blend of 97% Chardonnay and 3% Viognier has an alcohol level of 13.5% and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L18064 on the back label. TONY ASPLER / 88.5-points - Minerally, slightly reductive, oaky, apple nose; medium-bodied, dry and round on the palate with apple, pineapple and orange flavours carried on lively acidity. |

TASTING NOTE: The 2016 Medalla Chardonnay was produced with grapes from Finca Las Piedras in the Valle de Uco and contains 3% Viognier. It matured for nine months in contact with the lees, with 30% in oak foudres and 20% in barriques. It has varietal characteristics, neatly integrated oak and good freshness. Tasty and very pleasant.
