The LCBO refused to allow the accredited wine reviewers to taste this March 30 release. Any item that is not presented is assigned NO star (-)and an interim 0-point proxy score until it is properly assessed. The 2014 appeared in Vintages (**/**+) on November 11, 2017 at $18.95 and was Recommended. Here is my previous note: Extremely deep intense purple colour. Spicy, faintly tinny, plum-apple-cherry nose with some cedary notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, quite well structured, spicy, fairly intense, dense, ripe plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, fairly high acid, gently cedary finish. Has 14% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar. Screwcap closure. |

TASTING NOTE: Very fine and focused with blackberry, blueberry, and violet. Medium body, beautiful finish. Seriously made. A favorite for the price. Drink now. Score - 93 (James Suckling, jamessuckling.com, June 21, 2017) |
