| Despite the LCBO ‘s assurance that it would present this red, it DID NOT appear for evaluation. Any item not tasted is assigned an interim ONE-STAR rating and an interim 0-POINT proxy score until properly assessed. The recommended 2016 (**+) was released on October 27, 2018 at $19.95. Here is my previous note: Extremely deep intense purple colour. Attractive, intense, spicy, black cherry nose with some bright cedar notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, fairly dense, well structured, spicy, juicy ripe plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, high acid, gently cedary finish. This blend of 95% Malbec and 5% Petit Verdot has 13.5% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar with lot number L17B02 05/16/18 on the back label. |

| Susana Balbo is one of the most accomplished winemakers in Argentina. In 2018, she was included in The Drink Business magazine's list of the 10 most influential women in the wine world. Her signature Malbec is always fresh and floral with excellent precision and poise. Ripe, juicy and fruit-driven, with pure black fruit flavours and great structure. Ideal for lamb or barbecued ribs. |
