PIZZELLA MALBEC 2017 Mendoza
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer LA POSTA
One of 72 items (59% of 122 releases) not presented for evaluation under new LCBO policies. A REPEAT of the 2017 that last appeared in Vintages on December 8, 2018 at $15.95 and has never been presented to the wine writers. Here is my note on the new bottling of 2016 with a new lot number L18047 on the lower part of the glass bottle that was in the lab. Very intense deep purple colour. Gently spicy, faintly herbal, baked, plum-cherry nose with some cedary, tea-tinged notes. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied, spicy, tangy, slightly baked, plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, gently cedary, very faintly bitter, high acid finish. This REPEAT has 13% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. CSPC 166298
