GRAN MASCOTA MALBEC 2015 Uco Valley, Mendoza
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer MASCOTA VINEYARDS
One of 89 items (64% of 139 releases) not presented for evaluation under new LCBO policies. Any item not tasted is assigned an interim ZERO-STAR (-) rating and an interim 0-POINT proxy score until properly assessed. The 2014 last appeared in Vintages (**/**+) on February 3, 2018 at $19.95 and was Recommended. Here is my previous note: Extremely deep intense purple colour. Slightly spicy, baked plum-cherry nose with lots of sandalwood-cedar notes plus a touch of herb. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, quite well structured, fairly dense, slightly spicy, baked cherry-plum flavours with a lingering, cedary, fairly high acid finish. Hefty - a good match for a rib steak. Has 14.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L17201 on the back label. CSPC 443333
