This is one of 77 items (136 releases) not presented to taste under new LCBO policies. Any item not tasted is assigned an interim ZERO-STAR (-) rating and an interim 0-POINT proxy score until properly assessed. The recommended 2016 (**/**+) was released on August 18, 2018 at $19.95. Here is my previous note: Very deep intense purple colour. Very spicy, intense, plum-cherry nose with some cedary notes. Fairly dry, medium-full bodied, well structured, dense, spicy, slightly baked, faintly peppery, plum-cherry flavours with a lingering, fairly high acid, mineral-tinged, cedary finish. Has 14% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. |
