CABERNET FRANC 2015 Mendoza
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer EL ENEMIGO
This hefty, well-structured Cabernet Franc is Recommended but can use some aging. Very deep intense purple colour. Youthful, intense, spicy, very slightly baked, ripe, plum-cherry-apple nose with lots of cedary notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, slightly spicy, bright, plum-crancherry flavours with a lingering, high acid, cedary finish. Has 13.5% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number L2927719295 on the back label. Not new in Vintages - better than the 2010 (*+/**) that was released on October 27, 2012 at $25.95 (#222596). BEWARE - the old 93-point tasting note for this recently bottled shipment which appears in the Vintages Catalogue has absolutely nothing to do with how this wine actually tastes today. CSPC 11813

TASTING NOTE: The 2015 El Enemigo Cabernet Franc was produced with fruit from Gualtallary, from a specific 8.8- hectare plot of the Adrianna Vineyard. It fermented in two tries with a portion of full clusters. It has a beautiful nose with plenty of spices and herbs and some Pinot-like red fruit. The palate is harmonious and balanced, with very fine tannins and a velvety texture. Drink date: 2018-2023. Score - 93 (Luis Gutiérrez, robertparker.com, June 29, 2018) Price $ 23.95
