Intense, rather spicy, somewhat juicy, ripe plum-cherry-blueberry nose with some cedary, very faintly herbal notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, quite dense, slightly spicy, tangy, youthful, fresh, ripe cherry-plum-cassis flavours with a lingering, cedary, fairly high acid, gently savoury finish. Has 14.5% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar. Riper than the recommended best buy 2016 (**+) that was released on March 2, 2019 at $19.95. |
