MARIFLOR |
In France judging the 2020 Concours Mondial du Sauvignon. Here is Tony Aspler’s review. Opaque purple-black colour; cedary, spicy, black fruits on the nose with vanilla oak notes; full-bodied, dry, well-extracted blackberry and plum flavours. A firmly structured wine. Has 15% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. Has not appeared in Vintages before. |

TASTING NOTE: The nose to this malbec is subtle and very much in tune with iodine, violets, slate and hints of ink. Full body, lots of firm, chewy tannins and a structured finish. Drink in 2022. Score - 93 (James Suckling, jamessuckling.com, April 5, 2018) |
