Unable to get a bottle for assessment from agent. Any item not tasted is assigned an interim ZERO-STAR (-) rating and an interim 0-POINT proxy score until properly assessed. The 2015 (*+) was released on August 17, 2019 at $21.95. Here is my previous note: Extremely deep intense purple colour. Peppery, youthful, herbal-driven nose with some leesy-resiny notes. Dry, medium bodied, spicy, herbal, resiny, stewed plum flavours with a lingering, youthful, high acid finish. Has 14.5% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number L19102 on the back label. |

TASTING NOTE: This shows a lovely smoky and bark-like note, which works very well with the brambleberries and underbrush. Full-bodied with nicely chewy tannins that remain tightly wound. Vibrant and fruity at the same time. Drink now or hold. Score - 93 (James Suckling, jamessuckling.com, March 27, 2019) |
