FABRE MONTMAYOU |
Assessed from a bottle purchased at the LCBO. Bright pale salmon colour. Very slightly spicy, shy, slightly honeyed, ripe, strawberry-baked -pple nose with lots of leesy notes. Fairly dry, light bodied, spicy, tart, red apple flavours with a crisp, unoaked, high acid finish. Ready-to-drink. Has 12.5% alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar with lot number CVL06420. Screwcap closure. A pass on this one. Not up to the 2018 (*+/**) that was released on July 6, 2019 at $15.95. |

TASTING NOTE: Expect this 100% Malbec rosé to offer up ripe, vibrant strawberry and raspberry flavours, with some touches of tropical fruit and a little dash of citrus. It will be a lively, satisfying accompaniment to grilled chicken, cedarplanked salmon, or simply sipping and enjoying on a warm summer evening. |
