TASTING NOTE: ... Pungent chalky lift to the distinctive aromas of blackberry, boysenberry, cherry, spices, espresso and smoky minerals. Silky, salty and re?ned, with insidious limestone minerality enlivening the wine’s red berry and fresh herb ?avors and contributing to the impression of inner-mouth perfume. This wonderfully savory, sharply delineated wine offers terri?c immediate appeal and the balance to age. Saturates the palate without leaving any impression of weight, ?nishing long, savory and suave, with noble tannins. This beauty really captures the saline minerality of its site in this cool vintage ... Outstanding ... Drink: 2021‹2028. Score: 94 (Stephen Tanzer, vinous. com, Sept. 2019) |
