| NEW in Vintages, here is a great rendition of Torrontés ,one of Argentina's signature whites from La Rioja one of Argentina's oldest cooler wine regions 990 miles south of Mendoza. The intense lychee-muscaty fruit is so intense that you might have the impression that this wine is slightly sweet. It’s not. A joy chilled on a hot summer day with a casual lunch - this hits the spot. Very pale straw in colour, the nose is loades with fresh lychee fruit and rosewater. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied, very bright, ripe lychee flavours followed up by a lingering, floral, fairly high acid, crisp, mineral-tinged finish. It has 13% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L20-281 on the back label. Screwcap closure. |
